local_minds NewsLog (what happened and when):

 

  • March 01:
    The local_minds site is currently undergoing a process of re-structuring. This renewing process is scheduled to end in mid March. Until that date, however, we will try our best to ensure that the activity of the site carries on in its actual rhythm.

 

  • January 17:
    We're BACK! Long and deserved holiday it was indeed! A new year, new plans and new contributors already. Stay online and watch local_minds in its 2005 splendor.

 

  • December 20:
    Holiday season greetings to all of our readers and contributors! local_minds takes its winter holiday from the 20th of December until January 17, 2005.

 

  • November 03:
    Slovenia is back! welcome to Mojca Kumerdej with two texts in the "prose" section.

 

  • October 17:
    the local_minds site is back up online, after experiencing some technical difficulties.  we thank our new DNS hosting company and are determined to avoid at all costs the old one. thank you for your patience.

 

  • October 14:
    congratulations to our colleagues in Kragujevac, Serbia for their Literature Week event.

 

  • October 03:
    the "local_minds" team of translators has expanded; welcome to Krasimira Koleva from Bulgaria!

 

  • September 19:

    Intense end of the week for local_minds, plenty of contributions arrived for the lyrical and photo sections

    welcome to new contributors from Ukraine, Lithuania and Slovenia

  • July 07:
    fist play published on the "local_minds" site (Mihai Ignat - Crisis)

 

  • June 28:
    the author profile feature has been launched allowing to browse for details about most of our contributors. available under the "author" section of the site

 

  • June 22:
    "local_minds" expanded its proposed range of participating countries, including also Moldova, Albania and Byelorussia among its target participants

 

  • June 13:
    first texts from Bulgaria  published on the "local_minds" site.

 

  • May 31:
    the "local_minds" editorial board has been expanded with the participation of 2 new members, Serghey Govorukha from Ukraine and Igor Pop Trajkov from Macedonia

 

  • May 21-22:
    "local_minds" has participated in the "Dissolving and emerging Communities" International Conference in Budapest, Hungary

The language (and country) span intended for local_minds comprises: Hungarian, Romanian, Polish, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Bosnian, Czech, Slovakian, Macedonian,  Moldavian, Ukrainian, Byelorussian and Albanian.

Applications:

 

Since we are still in the process of expanding our editorial board in order to be able to analyze the texts written in a language that we do not currently master, we are in the process of expanding our editorial board.
